Chays Brasserie

The Chaya family of restaurants combines Japanese hospitality, French savoir-faire, and both countries' tradition of culinary excellence and artistry.

For starters we had the:

Crispy Dungeness Crab Cake
Topped with Mango and Cherry Salsa / Piquillo Pepper Coulis and Coriander Oil

Fricassee De Champignons
Sweetbreads / Prawn / Haricots Verts / Sauce Supreme

Then we went for some Sushi Rolls

Red Dragon Roll
Spicy Tuna and Snow Crab / Cucumber / Avocado

Rainbow Roll
Crab / Cucumber / Mayo / Avocado / Assorted Fish

For Dessert we had:

Warm Milk Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding
Topped with Caramel Ice Cream

Crème Brulee Trio
Milk Chocolate / Coconut / Citrus Spice

Everything was very tasty.  The Sushi was very fresh and served at the right temperature.  Both desserts were to die for….as for our starters…I cannot complain.  Great environment, great view.

Excellent rating.

P.S.  Oh…of course we did have drinks and they were nice and flavorful.

They do offer Happy Hour which is done outside only….but has very nice view of the Oakland Bay Bridge and the Ferry Building.
